Large haul of jewellery stolen from Worthing home

A FAMILY is pleading for the return of jewellery stolen from a house in Worthing.

The large quantity of jewellery, worth several thousands of pounds, belonged to a family member who had recently died and was taken from the home in Dagmar Street between 10.30am and 12.20pm on Wednesday, April 21.

The haul included 11 rings including wedding rings, two silver chains, five bracelets, one ladies watch, a ring box, two pairs of earrings, two men's watches, two christening bracelets, four necklaces and two silver St Christopher pendants.

Cash, a camera and a DVD player were also stolen.

Police have said the intruder forced a rear kitchen window and door of the home and are appealing for witnesses.

Anyone with information or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around that time should contact Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 649 of 21/4 or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
