Lauren is a star

Lauren, of Wychhurst Gardens, is excited about taking part in the production at the Questors theatre in Ealing, with five shows from next Wednesday until June 2.

She said: "It is quite nice - we have to dance and sing."

Lauren is one of 38 Munchkins who will be performing Off To See The Wizard and Follow The Yellow Brick Road.

She also has a couple of lines to speak as her role as a Munchkin is a speaking part.

Mum Linda took Lauren for an audition back in January, and they were thrilled a couple of days later when the director rang to say Lauren would be offered a part.

"I am very excited," said Linda.

"She is doing Joseph at school as well, so we have got that all going on, too. It just doesn't stop - she is just starting singing lessons too."

Lauren, a pupil at Netherfield School, is hoping for a showbusiness future.

She said: "There are three things I would like to do; singing, acting, or maybe a ballet dancer. Or a cheerleading person."

She says her friends at school are pleased she is in The Wizard Of Oz and think "it is really cool".
