Life sentence for Worthing man found guilty of attempted murder - with pictures

Worthing man Martin Hewlett was sentenced to life imprisonment on Friday, March 20, for deliberately ploughing into his wife in a stolen van in a bid to kill her and cash in her life insurance policy.

Police have released photographs that were shown to members of the jury during the ten-day trial, which show the damage to Anne Dreisler's bicycle after she was hit by the stolen van.

Two images show Ms Dreisler's damaged bicycle in Canterbury Road, where the attempted murder took place.
