Lifeboat helps teens blown out to sea at Camber on inflatable

TWO teenage girls were rescue by Rye harbour Lifeboat on Saturday after their inflatable was blown out to sea.

The girls were picked up by the lifeboat at 12.50pm and returned safely to the beach at Camber Sands.

Steve Tollett, from Rye Harbour Lifeboat, said: ‘One of the RNLI’s Top Tips for Beach Safety is ‘Avoid using inflatables in strong winds or rough seas’.
