To mark the Born Free Foundation’s Big Cat Nap Week, Pretty Things’ staff dressed down in pyjamas and onesies and Lionel, the mascot of the Horsham-based international wildlife charity, joined them for tea.

Born Free’s fundraising week is taking place from July 1-7, and aims to raise awareness of the plight of big cats in the wild.

Pretty Things co-owner Louise Abbott said: “I’ve always loved animals so as soon as I found out about the Big Cat Nap, I just had to get involved.

“We at Pretty Things are really excited to be helping to spread the Born Free message and hope that we can raise awareness of the charity’s important work to protect big cats, and other animals, in the wild.

“So come in, spoil yourself with some delicious cake and help save big cats at the same time!”

Joanne Bartholomew, Born Free’s Fundraising and Events Coordinator, said: “It was fantastic to visit Pretty Things today and to see their staff and customers getting involved in the Big Cat Nap.”
