Lions playground cash

NEWHAVEN, Peacehaven and Seaford Lions Club president Clem Collins presented Cuckmere House School, Seaford, with a cheque for £3,000 towards a new play structure for the pupils.

Their previous equipment was condemned in 2005 and since then the school has been busy raising funds. Much of the Lions' money came from an Easter raffle supported by pubs in Seaford including the Old Plough, the Seven Sisters, the White Lion and the Cinque Ports as well as the Smugglers, the George and the Wingrove Arms in Alfriston.
