Littlehampton Golf Club suffers £6,500 tools raid

TOOLS worth about £6,500 have been stolen in an overnight raid from outbuildings at Littlehampton Golf Club.

The thieves are believed to have stolen a number of items including strimmers, hover mowers and a chainsaw sometime between 10.30pm on Monday, January 18 and 6.30am on Tuesday, January 19.

The suspects are thought to have cut padlocks on the main gate of the club, in Rope Walk, and then broken into the outbuildings.

The crime is being investigated by police, and Det Con Jamie Carruthers said: “We’d like to hear from anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area.

“Witnesses can email [email protected] or call 101 quoting serial 169 of 19/01.”
