MAGAZINE: The final countdown: Britain’s funeral song chart revealed
The Monty Python classic ‘Always look on the bright side of life’ has rocketed to the top of the charts of the most played funeral songs in the UK, knocking Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ off the top spot for the first time in over ten years.
The research, carried out by The Co-operative Funeralcare, the UK’s largest funeral director, asked a sample of its Funeral Homes - which carried out over 30,000 funerals in the past year - the tunes of choice being played at services to celebrate and remember the lives of loved ones.
