SOUTH MALLING CHURCH: Last week's Cafe Service was a relaxed and friendly event as usual with this kind of service. The congregation sat around tables with coffee and biscuits and talked together about a couple of questions arising from the sermon topic, which the speaker, Revd Dick Field, then pulled together in a brief talk, '˜Is there a different experience of the World for Christians as opposed to others?' In general, people thought there was, and amongst the reasons given was the general belief that Christians feel they, tangibly, share a relationship with the creator of the world. This week, there will be a Communion service especially designed so that it can appeal to everyone who attends, whether they are familiar with the service or not; firm believers or not. All are welcome. The service begins at 9.30am.

ARTWAVE IN MALLING: Information is now circulating about Artwave which takes place at the end of this month. Once again the Dairy Studio will be open with a larger number of artists exhibiting. This year, the church is taking a break and will not be exhibiting. For South Malling, Artwave not only gives neighbours a chance to see the work done by Dairy Studio artists, but also draws people from the wider community across the river and see that Malling also has its beautiful places.
