A MAN who suffered head injures in a Worthing park on Wednesday (June 13) died in hospital yesterday (Thursday, June 14).
The 50-year-old man, who was found on a bench in Amelia Park, in Richmond Road, suffered from a previous medical condition which is believed to have contributed to his death.
He was found laying unresponsive on a bench at around 7pm on Wednesday, and police believe he had been drinking with a small group of men in the park.
Detective sergeant Alex Lowe, of West Sussex CID, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen this man.
“If you saw him or indeed, saw how he may have come by this injury, please call us on 101 quoting serial 123 of 14/06.”
His death is not thought to be suspicious, and the coroner has been informed.
