The victim received numerous menacing telephone calls to her home and work from Scott.

During these calls he told her she was going to be taken into slavery and shipped to the Middle East because she was a pretty girl.

In a police interview, following his arrest on August 29 last year, Scott said he did not know the woman but she, or possibly another woman, had bumped into him in the street in Worthing and not apologised.

He admitted to making the calls to get revenge for this.

Sentencing Scott, Judge Claudia Ackner said the offence was so serious that only a custodial sentence could be given.
