Man seriously hurt in Littlehampton Road collision

Police are seeking witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously hurt in a Worthing collision on Tuesday evening.

The 59-year old local man was in a collision with a white Peugeot 208 car just before 7.30pm, in Littlehampton Road, Worthing, near the junction with Ringmer Road.

He received a head injury and was taken by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital where he is in a serious but not life-threatening condition.

The 45-year-old Littlehampton woman driving the car was unhurt.

Inspector Paul Wood of the Sussex Road Policing Unit at Arundel said: “Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact us via 101 or email [email protected] quoting serial 1331 of 19/11.”
