Man stabbed in Worthing flat

A MAN has been charged over a stabbing in Worthing flat.

Police were called to a flat in Grand Avenue at 1.38am on Saturday where a man had been stabbed.

Dean Michael Leahy, 39, of Balmoral Court, Grand Avenue, was arrested and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was detained in custody and is due to appear before Crawley Remand Court today.

The victim, a 25-year-old man from Durrington, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton, where he is being treated for stab wounds to his chest.
