Terry Reeves, 66, won a total of £16,600.48 earlier this month when playing National Live at Gala Bingo in Rowlands Road in Worthing.

Terry, who works in property maintenance, had never won more than £100 before now, and will use his funds to buy a Mazda MX5 - his ‘long awaited toy.’

He joined Gala Bingo in Brighton aged 18, before moving to Dorset and playing at Gala Bournemouth for a while.

He eventually settled in Lancing where he has been a regular member at Gala Worthing.

A spokesman said: “Terry never misses a link game and this is what gives him the buzz in bingo, a chance of winning big money for small stakes.”

Terry won on June 1, and was presented with his cheque last night by general manager Mark Watts.
