Mayor invites you to his ball

THE MAYOR of Lewes' Vintage Ball takes place on April 14 at Lewes Town Hall.

The event features a number of live acts, a two-course vegetarian dinner and the dress code is pre-1940s evening wear.

Lewes Mayor Merlin Milner said: 'It'll be a great evening and a good way of raising money for the two charities.

'There will a lot of local acts performing and hopefully a few surprise guests.

'It's be nice food, good music and the chance to dress up for the evening.'

The full line-up of performers is: Arthur Brown, Fat 45, Las Vegas Mermaids, Starfish, Huntley and Palmer, The Neil Andrews Sisters and Rikki Tarascus will be the MC for the event.

Tickets cost just 20 and are in aid of Lewes District and Wealden MIND and Compassion In World Farming
