Meet the face of the 2018 Broadwater Dog Show
British bulldog Georgie has been named as the face of the 2018 Broadwater Dog Show.
The two-year-old was chosen by Guild Care in its competition for its second dog show and market on Broadwater Green.
Georgie has plenty of character and charm, spending most days window twitching, keeping guard and being a nosey neighbour.
People are invited to take along their own four-legged friend to compete in a wide range of categories at the show on Sunday.
As well as categories like best rescue, best crossbreed, prettiest girl and most handsome boy, there will be an agility course.
There is also fun for the whole family with a bouncy castle, face painting, craft market and food stalls.
The free event kick off at 10am and the mayor will show his support by officially opening the show at 10.30am. The dog show will run from 11am to 3pm.
Last year’s show raised £1,300 for Guild Care’s Ashdown Centre service, which supports children and young adults with disabilities and additional needs.
This year, funds raised will go to Guild Care’s community support services. The charity provides more than 30 services to people living in the area from Fishersgate to Rustington, south of the Downs.
From dementia care, care homes and community transport to providing carers with a much-needed break, these support services aim to reduce isolation, support people to live independently for longer and to live well.
There is still space for more stalls both inside the tent and outside, so if you are a stallholder who would like to be a part of the market then get in touch. For more information, contact the fundraising team on 01903 528613 or email [email protected]
