Meeting open to all local cinema lovers

Allen Taylor is holding an event next Thursday (June 14) to publicise the work of the Projected Picture Trust. The event will take place at 1.30pm in the Regis Centre in Belmont Street.

The trust’s intentions are to protect all film and equipment of all gauges including 8mm to 35mm as well as work to save old and important cinemas, projectors and equipment.

Mr Taylor said: “We hold monthly meetings to share our experiences and ideas for the future. You don’t have to be a technical person, just the love of cinema is enough. Members also receive the Rewind magazine every quarter with lots of information and projects which are going on.”
