Meltdown

A BUSINESSMAN who had three of his ice-cream vans torched by arsonists has vowed to keep going.

Sean Kempin, who owns British Bulldog Ice Creams in Gardner Road, Fishersgate, was called to his compound just after midnight on Tuesday, to find three of his vans blackened shells and completely burnt out, writes Michelle Nevell.

The flames were so fierce and intense that witnesses could see them from the Old Shoreham Road.

Three of his seven-van fleet are write-offs and part of the fence surrounding the yard has been burnt. Even the paint on the office building has bubbled. Police and fire investigation officers were combing through the evidence for clues on Tuesday as to how the fire started but they confirmed it was suspicious.
