Memorial to tragic boy swept into sea

A PLAYGROUND has been opened as a memorial to 10-year-old Peacehaven boy Timmy Barry who drowned two years ago.

Timmy, who was autistic, died with his 45-year-old carer Janette Moss at Black Rock when they were swept into the sea.

To remember him, his family and friends raised more than 15,000 for the play area at Hillside School, Portslade, where he was a pupil.

It was unveiled by his parents, Andy and Emma, and his sister Amanda, of Linthouse Close, last week.
