TWO men have been charged in connection with the shooting of an air weapon in Lancing on April 14.
Two police community support officers were on foot patrol at about 9pm in Beach Green, Brighton Road, when they heard what sounded like an air weapon being fired near them.
They retreated to a nearby police car and other police officers attended the area and arrested two men.
Thorn Robertson, 21, a gardener of no fixed abode, was charged with firing an air weapon beyond premises.
Stewart Robertson, 46, unemployed from Brighton Road, Lancing, was charged with two counts of possessing air weapons, when prohibited for five years, and possession of cannabis.
Both men were released on police bail to attend Worthing Magistrates Court on Monday next week (June 25).
