He was last seen going to bed at 12.30am on Wednesday. His relatives believe he left Burns Close just over five hours later at around 6am in his car - a silver Ford Focus registration LD60 LVF.

Automatic number plate recognition cameras recorded the car on Wednesday at 7.30am on the A24 Findon bypass at the junction with the A280, on the outskirts of Worthing.

Neither the vehicle or Mr Lane have been spotted since then.

Officers in the community safety unit at Sutton Police Station said they were concerned because Mr Lane was being treated for depression. He is not believed to have any more than £10 on him, and has no mobile phone, bank cards or medication.
