Mobility scooter driver breaks pensioner's pelvis

Police are seeking the driver of a mobility scooter that collided with an elderly woman in Portslade, breaking a bone in her pelvis.

The incident happened in Valley Road just after 11am on Tuesday, March 22.

The 86-year-old victim, from Portslade, was taken into a nearby shop where she felt unwell and an ambulance was called.

She was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital where her pelvis injury was discovered.

Police believe that the driver of the red mobility scooter was an elderly woman with red hair and was accompanied by a small dog, possibly a Jack Russell.
