A Morrisons lorry required the help of a recovery vehicle in Sompting on Wednesday (November 14) after getting stuck in soil down a country lane.
The vehicle was travelling back to the Morrisons distribution centre in Sittingbourne after making a delivery to the Worthing store in Newland Street.
The incident happened at 4.20am in Halewick Lane and was dealt with within an hour.
A spokesman for Morrisons said: “The driver followed a diversion sign off the A27. He travelled through a housing estate before taking the left hand fork in the road down the lane.
“The vehicle’s wheels ended up sticking in to soft soil and a recovery vehicle was called to pull it out.
“We understand an Asda lorry had the same issue last week.”
