Motorists advised to take care in wet conditions

MOTORISTS have been advised to take care on the roads following a period of heavy rain.

Two days of torrential rain have left some parts of the county under water.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Services were drafted in to help clear the roadway at the Northgate roundabout in Chichester at around 5pm today.

Traffic in the area was heavily congested as a result. Firefighters are no longer at the scene.
