Motorists taken to hospital after traffic collision in Angmering

SEVERAL vehicles were involved in a road accident that left multiple people needing hospital treatment.

At 6.20pm last night (Friday, December 9), four vehicles were involved in a collision at the Roundstone By-pass, in Angmering, which led to five people being taken to hospital.

An elderly woman needed to be freed from her car by firefighters, who used the heavy rescue tender from Worthing fire station to cut her free from her car, and a young woman was also helped from her vehicle.

Firefighters left the scene at 7.40pm.
