Multiple Sclerosis Spring Fayre

THE HASTINGS & Rother branch of the Multiple Sclerosis society held a Spring Fayre at St Martha's church on Saturday.

The event, which was supported by many MS sufferers, proved popular with locals who had much to chose from on the varied stalls, including, toys, bric a brac, home-made cakes, books, a raffle and tombola.

Refreshments of teas and coffees were available and many people made the day a family event, including Bexhillian Julia Jones and family.

Julia took her daughter and nieces to the fayre and said it was a great day out. Proudly showing her winning gifts niece Saffy said: "It's good, I like the tombola!"

The fayre raised 685 which organiser Sylvia Perry said was delighted with.

She said: "It's an absolutely amazing result, everyone had a really happy day. I'd like to thank all the helpers, who were all people with MS, and to all the people who contributed to the day."

She added: "Without them the fayre wouldn't have been such a great success."
