It will be held on Tuesday, June 13 at 7pm. On arrival customers will be told of the gruesome murder earlier that day of (the fictional) Minnie Laurenson.

Four suspects will give their account of what happened. During the interval customers can interview the suspects over a glass of wine and then decide for themselves who the murderer is. When they reconvene to hear the confession there will be a prize for the detective who has guessed correctly.

To celebrate 30 years of publishing and 30 books, Ann Cleeves – bestselling crime writer of Vera and Shetland fame – has written a murder mystery based around a traditional Shetland Sunday Tea. Shetland is the setting of the popular crime series featuring detective Jimmy Perez. This traditional murder mystery has the accessibility of a familiar format – we’ve all played Cluedo or watched Poirot – but this gives readers the chance to expand this experience.

Tickets are £7.50 each, available from the library. Ticket price includes refreshment and is non-refundable. Find out more at 01903 704809.
