The workshops take place every Monday, at Buddy’s Café, in South Farm Road, and are part of Sussex Music Workshops run by Daniel Gilmore.

The aim of the sessions is to provide a social experience for people with disabilities and to offer the chance to experience different types of music.

Mayor of Worthing Bob Smytherman visited one of the workshops last Monday.

He said: “It was a delight to spend a morning with Sussex music workshops and join in with a few numbers playing Ukulele. Daniel’s lessons are a real inspiration and are well-loved by those attending and I would like to wish him well with future events in the town and would recommend him highly.”

There are two adult groups, one from 10-11.30am, which focuses on learning to play the ukulele and singing and the other from 2-3.30pm, involving a variety of music and instruments.

There is also a children’s group from 4.15-5.15pm, exploring a range of instruments, music and singing.
