Musical marks end of an era for performer Liam

AN aspiring West End star will perform his last show with RSOPA Theatre Group this weekend before joining a prestigious performing arts college in Essex.

Liam McHugh, 17, of Goring Road, is playing Joe Casey, the lead role in Our House – a musical based on the band Madness, at the Pavilion Theatre, on Friday and Saturday.

In September, Liam will become a student at Performers College, on a Dance and Drama Award (DADA) scholarship – awarded to students ‘displaying the most potential to succeed in the profession’.

He said: “I want to be in the West End. I would love to be in the Book of Mormon. The dream is to get paid for something you love doing. I would be so grateful to be cast in anything in London.”
