Netherfield Church - Services for Brightling, Mountfield and Netherfield through August will be as follows: This Sunday August 3 will be an All Age Worship (non communion) at Netherfield; Sunday August 10 Holy Communion at Brightling; Sunday August 17 Holy Communion at Mountfield; Sunday August 24 Holy Communion at Netherfield and Sunday August 31 will be Songs of Praise at Brightling starting at 6 pm and followed by drinks in the churchyard. Any requests for readings and hymns for this service may be made to Ann-Marie. All services start at 10 am with the exception of August 31.

WHITE HART - On the third Thursday of every month we hold a Quiz night for a local charity all are welcome , there is always a ‘special’ on offer for food.

There are various groups meeting throughout the month including Boulez, The Rover group, The Harley Davidson group, T.R.Cars and The Breakaway Club, if you would like to know more about any of the dates and times or the darts and football teams please give Sean a ring on 01424 838382. White Hart Boulez Pitch. The pieste is free to use, any clubs please feel free to come and use the pieste, FOC any time except match days which are Saturday afternoons throughout the season. THE MOBILE LIBRARY - will be outside the shop from 11.50 – 12.10, on today Friday August 1 and on Friday’s August 15 & 29.

The next meeting of the Battle Hard of Hearing Support Group will be held on Monday August 4, from 2pm to 3:30pm at St Martins (ground floor lounge), Mount Street, Battle, TN33 0DR. This is an excellent opportunity to meet other hard of hearing people and to make new friends in a relaxed and welcoming environment and to learn from their personal experience of living with hearing loss. It’s also an ideal opportunity to learn some useful communication skills that will help to reduce the feeling of isolation. Free refreshments and raffle. All welcome so put a note in your diary.
