DDARA Youth Activities Group – Summer Activities –Saturday August 4 (tomorrow)– We are entering Old Town Carnival again and would appreciate any help and support on the day, lorry to be in Darvel Down from 8am. Wednesday August 8 – Sports Day a light lunch and refreshments will be provided- 11am to 3pm in the Village Hall. Wednesday August 15 – Trip to Bedgebury, if interested please contact Marrissa, Lindsey, Kirsty, Vicki, Grant, Sam, Mandy or Zoey. Wednesday August 22 – In order to improve our park facilities we are taking youths to test out the equipment at Robertsbridge Play Park at 11am. Wednesday August 29 – Cooking – Games - 11am to 3pm in the Village Hall. At all events children to be accompanied by an adult.

Netherfield Church – Services for August are as follows: This Sunday is a joint Family Service for Mountfield and Netherfield at Netherfield; Sunday August 12 is a United Holy Communion for Brightling, Mountfield and Netherfield at Brightling; Sunday August 19 is a joint Holy Communion for Mountfield and Netherfield at Mountfield. The final service on Sunday August 26 is a joint Holy Communion for Mountfield and Netherfield at Netherfield. White Hart - There are various groups meeting throughout the month including Boules, The Rover group, The Harley Davidson group, T.R.Cars and The Breakaway Club, if you would like to know more about any of the dates and times or the darts and football teams please give Sean a ring on 01424 838382. White Hart Boules Pitch. The pieste is free to use, any clubs please feel free to come and use the pieste, FOC any time except match days which are Saturday afternoons throughout the season.  We have a group of ladies and Gents that play amongst themselves Monday Lunchtimes.

THE MOBILE LIBRARY will be outside the shop from 11.50 – 12.10 today Friday August 3 and on Friday’s August 17 & 31.

Why not come along to the Hard of Hearing Group held in Battle and take the opportunity to meet other people in an easy-to-communicate atmosphere? The next meeting at Battle will be on Monday August 6 2012, 2pm – 3.30pm at the Battle Medical Centre, Telham House, 13 Mitre Way. The subject for our talk this month is “STEPS.” Who are STEPS and what services do they offer to the elderly and disabled? Talk presented by Louise South. Everybody welcome.
