New wave of car vandalism across Worthing

VANDALS have been busy damaging a number of cars in Worthing.

In the early hours of Friday, March 20, at around 1.30am, several cars had their wing mirrors smashed off and windscreens damaged in The Strand.

Later that day, a car windscreen was smashed and the rear number plate from the vehicle was stolen between 8pm and 10pm in West Avenue.

And overnight on Friday, going into Saturday, March 21, four vehicles in the Ham Road and Meadow Road area were vandalised.

Lastly, at 3.30am on Tuesday, March 24, in Bulkington Avenue, a witnesses heard a noise and went outside to find a car windscreen had been smashed.

The nearside window on the vehicle was also broken.

The witness reported the matter to police, and told them he heard youths running off down the street.
