‘Nightmare’ road-crossing has businesses concerned

BUSINESSES have branded a road crossing in South Farm Road, Worthing, a ‘nightmare’ and described it as an accident waiting to happen.

Janet Gibbins, of St Wilfred’s Road, Worthing, owns Ginny’s attic, a doll shop opposite the crossing on South Farm Road, Worthing.

She said: “The lines have faded and it’s an accident waiting to happen.

“Nearly everyday I see people almost getting run over and I know there’s going to be an accident.”

Janet phoned the council around February/March and was told someone would be sent out, however it snowed, preventing them from doing so and it was not rearranged.

“We have a lot of elderly people and children from Worthing High School nearby and there’s a bus stop obstructing the view.

“It is very, very, dangerous and I know some one will get hit.”
