A nurse who allegedly slept on duty at a care home has been accused of ‘concealing’ information from a potential employer.
Nina Chanda Chengo, is facing a Nursing and Midwifery Council hearing after being accused of seven charges.
Ms Chengo was working at Elton Lodge Care Home, in Selden Road, Worthing, between September 2013 and December 2013 when she allegedly shouted at a resident, and slept on duty on ‘more than one occasion’.
She is also accused of ‘failing to conduct or record hourly observations’ on a resident while working at South Coast Nursing Home in Crescent Road, Worthing, and failing to disclose to the home that she had been referred to the NMC.
Ms Chengo is also accused of failing to tell Plan B Healthcare, a nursing agency based in London, that she was the subject of an investigation by the NMC.
The results of the hearing are set to be published tomorrow (November 6).
