Nursing home rescue
A fire crew freed an elderly resident at Lindsay Hall when he fell on stairs and trapped his hand.
He had collapsed and his hand caught behind a grab rail as he fell.
Fire officers from Bexhill station responded to the emergency call from
the nursing home in Dorset Road on Friday evening and were able to bear
the victim's weight while pulling the grab rail away to release him.
He was not injured.
