Offbeat News: A caller dialled 999 because he had run out of toilet roll
Audio footage of the time-waster has been released by police as a warning about the growing number clogging the emergency number with silly requests.
The short conversation starts with the operator asking: “What’s your emergency.”
The caller says: “Erm, I have run out of toilet roll” and the angry call-handler responds: “And you are calling 99 for that reason?”
