Onesie run for a good cause in Worthing

A MOTHER and daughter are hoping their novel fundraising idea will raise £500 for charity on Saturday.

Funds raised from the ‘mumsie onesie run’ – an opportunity for people to gather in their onesies – will go towards buying a new portable projector for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice’s Youth Group.

Amy Parsons, 15, said: “My Mum and I came up with the onesie run fundraising idea. I am due to start volunteering on the Chestnut Tree House Buddy Scheme at the start of next year.

“I have visited on many occasions to see my friend who goes there regularly for respite care.”

The run is taking place at Worthing Leisure Centre, Shaftsbury Avenue, Worthing, at 1.30pm.
