Carousel restored

WORTHING Twinning Association would like to thank everyone who kindly donated to the French Storm Appeal set up by our then President, counciller Noël Atkins, after Storm Xynthia caused havoc along the coast of our twin area Le Pays des Olonnes.

A total of 508 euros was sent to restore a small carousel on the seafront and we have heard that it is now fully repaired and being used daily by local children.

Catherine Gayda, president of the twinning committee of Les Olonnes has sent a letter of thanks and a photo of the restored carousel (pictured above) for the people of Worthing to see.
