Choirs urged to help

SINGERS Rechoired is a community choir created following a letter written by Tina Olliver to the Herald inviting people to come and sing.

I am the musical director of this wonderful 60-strong choir, whose sole purpose is to serve the community of Worthing and raise funds for various charities. Our great success means that we are able to plan our greatest concert yet.

We would like, through your pages, to invite choirs from the Worthing area to join us in December at the Assembly Hall in Worthing to perform a community carol concert to raise funds for Chestnut Tree House.

Sadly, the Assembly Hall will hold only 300 singers on stage, so places will have to be limited but, if you are a choir member or leader, please get in touch and commit to this great event.

The music for the concert will be very simple but effective and details can be supplied on request.

Joining this venture is such a small effort for such a huge and very needy cause and we feel that Christmas is the perfect time to show Chestnut Tree House that the musicians of Worthing really do care.

Please get in touch immediately to pledge your choir's support for this event.
