First snow of the year, but it really wasn’t good snow

DID my eyes deceive me, or did I see the first snow of the year the other day?!

It wasn’t my eyes, Chipsters! When I woke up on Saturday, there was a light dusting of it all over the ground. Normally I love snow – building snowmen and having snowball fights is so much fun.

But on Saturday, I wasn’t too pleased to see it. There wasn’t enough to make a snowball, let alone enough to build a snowman, and it really spoiled my plans for the day.

Mummy had organised for me and some friends to play football at Broadwater Green, but when we got there, the ground was so white we couldn’t see the ball!

We tried to play for a bit, but it just wasn’t working. It was a shame we didn’t have one of those bright yellow balls that you see on the telly sometimes, that would have been perfect. Maybe I’ll ask for one for my birthday.

But all is not lost, Chipsters: my friends and I are playing football tonight, at Worthing Leisure Centre on the 3G pitch there. It’s like playing on grass but without any of the mud!

Just because it’s freezing cold doesn’t mean I won’t keep active, and I’ll be sure to give you a full update next week. Chip chip for now!
