ST BARNABAS: Hold a Big Get Together and support vital hospice services

This October we are inviting our supporters to join together with friends and family to take part in The Big Get Together, have fun, and raise funds to support vital hospice services at the same time.

It could be a family barbecue, cocktails-and-canapés evening, watching a film and eating pizza in your pyjamas or tea and cake – the choice is yours.

12 hospices across the South East have teamed up to be part of The Big Get Together, including our children’s hospice Chestnut Tree House.

All we are asking you to do is hold a night in during October and ask your guests to make a donation which will provide essential hospice care and support throughout the local community.

The current annual cost of providing all of our care services at St Barnabas House is now nearly £6million a year and only 21 per cent of these costs are paid for by the NHS.

Public support, therefore, is essential to ensure the continued running of the hospice and the funds raised through The Big Get Together will make a huge difference.

With people across the South East signing up for The Big Get Together, you certainly will not want to miss out!

You can join thousands of others and hold your gathering during Hospice Care Week (October 3 to 9), or commemorate a loved one by choosing a date that is memorable for them.
