ST BARNABAS: Leave a lasting tribute on the Walk of Life

If you have ever visited St Barnabas House, you will no doubt have come across the Walk of Life on the way into the hospice.

The Walk of Life is a brick pathway that welcomes visitors, made up of a collection of many hundreds of positive messages of hope, love, fun and remembrance.

For patients it acts as an immediate visual reminder that St Barnabas’ purpose is to provide our patients with as much life, love and enjoyment as we can in the time they have left.

It is also a great way for individuals, community groups and companies to celebrate the lives of loved ones, friends and colleagues.

It offers anybody the chance to leave a lasting tribute and at the same time make a positive contribution toward the care that the hospice will provide in the future.

Amongst the people who have bricks in the Walk of Life are Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra and Dr Gusterson, the original founder of St Barnabas.

I have my own personal message as my parents purchased a brick on my behalf to celebrate the opening of the new hospice back in 2010.
