ST BARNABAS: Thanks to everyone taking part in the midnight walk

I would like to dedicate this week's column to the fantastic walkers and volunteers who will be out in Worthing tonight for this year's Night to Remember midnight walk.

Over the past eight years, the Night to Remember event has raised more than £1million in total for St Barnabas House hospice.

Each year the event goes from strength to strength, and that’s all down to our fantastic supporters making it such a fun and enjoyable night.

Once again, I want to thank the wonderful people who will be volunteering tonight, enabling the whole event to take place.

Many volunteers have a personal connection with St Barnabas House – many male marshals are volunteering while their relatives and friends are walking, and some women didn’t want to do the walk itself so decided to volunteer.

Whatever the reason, thank you to each and every one of you.

As for the ladies who are walking, every year, your enthusiasm, energy and choice of pink fairy wings, bunny ears and deely boppers never fail to make me smile!

We will be cheering you on every step of the way!

Night to Remember 2016 will definitely be the best yet.

Best of luck, and we can’t wait to see you all!
