Thank you to all our volunteers

This week I would like to say thanks a million to each and every one of our fabulous volunteers!

At this time of year, we are thinking about buying gifts for one another, so this is a pertinent time to share our gratitude and say a very big thank you to our volunteers for their incredible generosity with their gift of time for the children’s hospice.

At any one time, there are numerous volunteers giving up their time to help us in many different ways.

Volunteers play a vital role, whether in the House itself, in one of our shops, at a fundraising event or out in our community. Being part of the Chestnut Tree House team and helping us to spread the word about the work of our children’s hospice is invaluable. Without volunteers, Chestnut Tree House just would not be able to function.

Everyone is so committed to our cause and we are so thankful to our volunteers for their daily dedication to Sussex’s only children’s hospice.

Chestnut Tree House relies on 92% of its total income coming from Fundraising, donations, legacies, retail and our weekly lottery, as statutory funding amounts to less than 8%. We expect that our direct spending on children’s care services will be well over £3m a year over the next three years.

The contribution of the volunteers’ gift of time is worth in excess of £1 million – what can I say but thank you all so much, you are one in a million!
