We work with organisations and individuals to help people find volunteer roles that are enjoyable, rewarding and fit in with their lifestyles.

If you’ve thought about volunteering why not get in touch to see how we can help you ([email protected] or 01243 864220), or have a look on www.do-it.org to see what opportunities are available near you.

Walk leader – Walk this Way... South Downs Women’s Walking Group

Walk this Way... South Downs Women’s Walking Group is a group of like-minded women who chat, laugh and share interests as part of a friendly and supportive group while walking in the beautiful South Downs National Park and coastal areas near Arundel.

They currently have walks on Tuesday mornings, meeting up at various locations in the South Downs and coastal areas nearby.

They would like to offer walks on other days of the week and so are looking for a new walk leader(s) to lead regular walks on a Friday and/or Sunday as part of the programme. This can be weekly, fortnightly or just once a month.

If you love walking in our beautiful countryside, would like to meet new people to walk with, can read a map, and have a friendly and outgoing nature and a good sense of humour they would love to meet you.

Museum steward – Arundel Museum Society

Arundel Museum exists to acquire, conserve and display objects related to Arundel’s history and heritage; they want to create a gateway to the past in an exciting and inspiring learning environment which is accessible to all.

They are looking for volunteers to act as stewards both at front-of-house and in the museum.

Tasks might include: meeting and greeting members of the public, dealing with tourist information enquiries, taking money for admissions and items sold in our shop, giving information with regard to the exhibits and answering any other questions visitors may have.

Child contact centre volunteer – Littlehampton Child Contact Centre

Can you spare one Saturday morning a month?

Volunteers are needed to join the Littlehampton Child Contact Centre team.

The centre is a safe, friendly place where children of separated families can spend time with their non-resident parent.

They meet between 9.30am and 12.30pm at Littlehampton Baptist Church Hall on the first and third Saturday of each month.

Applications are sought from both men and women; two references and a DBS will be required.

4Sight club assistant (Littlehampton) – 4Sight

Do you have some spare time on a fortnightly basis?

4Sight are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their existing team of volunteers to assist with the running of their Littlehampton Social Club for the Blind.

The Littlehampton club is one of numerous clubs around West Sussex which offer vital social support for many individuals living with sight loss around the county.

You will: assist with the club, make tea and coffee, assist with club visits and assist with club activities.

The club runs on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
