World of Words: ‘Home thoughts, from abroad’ is theme of short story competition

A POPULAR part of the Steyning Festival is its short story competition, open to anyone who would like to enter a previously unpublished piece of fiction of up to 1,500 words.

The theme for this year is ‘Home thoughts, from abroad’. This year’s festival falls during the 400th Anniversary of Steyning Grammar School, endowed by William Holland in 1614.

One of the few state boarding comprehensives in the country, it has students from around the world.
