Connaught helped raise charity cash

ON behalf of the Royal Theatrical Fund (patron Lord Attenborough and president Judi Dench), a huge thank you to those patrons and audiences who attended capacity performances of the finely-produced Carrie's War at the Connaught Theatre, Worthing, recently.

The amazing £1,510.59 was raised through the bucket drop collection scheme, called Acting for Others.

There are 15 theatrical charities in all, and your response makes an enornous contribution to their valuable work.

Performers and backstage staff, their children and dependants are able to go to these charities for help in moments of dire need, due to illness or accident.

And while we all know how very expensive live theatre is nowadays, we are truly grateful for anything found in the corners of your pockets.

For those less fortunate colleagues in the profession, the Connaught Theatre is thanked for its patrons’ great generosity.
