Hot under collar over ad

IN MARCH, 1999, 11 winters ago, West Sussex County Council's "ruling elite" axed hot school meals to 64,000 primary-aged children in 242 state schools, dismantled the school kitchens, and made 550 dinner ladies redundant.

In March, 2010, 11 winters on, West Sussex County Council's Connections, Issue 41, has a large advert on page six stating: "Join the hot school meals team!"

It is appealing for extra catering staff "to provide hot meals to 198 primary schools".

My reaction is unprintable.
