Fortunately my son-in-law knew about these signs as he used to live on a street where they were displayed.

If he had not explained them, I could have become a victim when visiting my husband at the hospital.

How about changing them to read: "Mon - Sat. No parking between 10am-11am and 2pm-3pm unless you hold a permit".

There, that's not rocket science is it?

Although, I expect it will still be confusing.
