LETTER: Pollution from A27 is an issue

As the '˜enhanced online' solution proposed by Rob Ferguson (Herald, January 19) hasn't been published, it'˜s difficult to comment upon.

However, if the idea is to create more capacity for more traffic, I would add a word of caution to residents living close to the A27 like him.

Exhaust pollution is a killer. Levels of nitrogen dioxide along many parts of it are already serious, with Grove Lodge the worst.

Yes, waiting traffic is an issue, but to rectify that with something that only encourages more and faster traffic, not only creates more pollution but is a waste of hard earned taxpayers’ pounds.
